The Power of Collaboration in Home Care

Alliance Homecare’s CEO Greg Solometo knows that partnership and success are inseparable.

The esteemed Martin Luther King once preached, “There is power in unity and there is power in numbers.”  Alliance Homecare abides by this mantra which is why every year we host an event for our extensive referral network.  This ‘Referral Partner Meet-n-Greet’ (RPMG) is a gathering of specialists within the home care realm including geriatric psychologists, physicians, physical therapists, money managers, dementia coaches and organizational gurus.  Though skill sets vary, the mission of all these individuals is consistent:  all strive to elevate the home care experience.

This year, we celebrated our solidarity in Midtown Manhattan.  We invited participants to explain their work and share their stories.  These uplifting discussions were centered around providing holistic, high-quality care.  We encouraged everyone to shake hands and exchange contact information.  The afternoon ended with a moving performance from Jonatha Brooke, a prominent NYC-based musical artist, who gave us a compressed version of her hit Broadway show ‘My Mother Has 4 Noses’ which chronicles her experience of caring for her mother with Alzheimer’s.

Whether it be an aging parent, a disabled friend or simply a lonely soul, Alliance Homecare realizes that it takes a village to care for a loved one at home.  We are dedicated to enhancing this village through evidence-based practice, strong communication, mutual respect, shared values and, of course, by throwing our annual RPMG bash.  We stand behind ‘The Grandma Rule’ and can promise that our family always welcomes like-minded professionals who can help us achieve the highest caliber of care.

If you have a special skill within the home care world and are interested in joining our network, please contact us by emailing info@alliancehomecare.com.

Special thanks to the event planners at Eventurously for finding such a great space and coordinating the food; Jonatha Brooke and her husband, Patrick, for literally bringing us to tears and our own Devyani Shenoy for everything else!
