Alliance Homecare’s respite care services offer families the opportunity to take a break from their caregiving responsibilities, leaving their family member or loved one in the hands of a trusted Alliance Homecare respite staff member.
Why you need support
Caregiving can be very demanding on a spouse or other family members and at times it is difficult to get that much needed break. By using respite care services, you are able to take care of yourself and be a better caregiver.
We offer services that give caregivers a rest, while the person with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, for example, continue to receive care while remaining safe at home. Our services include companionship, personal care, feeding and meal preparation, transportation and geriatric care management, to name a few.
We set up an individualized care plan and outline what special activities, outings and things we can do while caring for the individual to make certain that they follow their normal routine. We also find that by getting respite care it benefits the individual by being able to interact with others.
When we discuss the needs of the families and individuals caring for their loved one we find that in many instances, there are things that are constant. Many people need:
- Time to spend with their friends and family members.
- Time to be able to shop, go to grocery store, get a haircut, attend their own appointments or just have quiet time alone.
- The ability to get a full nights rest.
- A peace of mind knowing their loved one is taken care of, without the guilt of leaving them alone or uncared for.
